CoE EXPERTS TO ASSESS CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL MONUMENTS
Support A1+!Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis welcomes Armenia’s willingness to receive the CoE experts to the region. The visit is aimed at studying the state of cultural and historical monuments.
“I welcome Armenia’s approach, which has nothing to conceal. The decision is derived from the country’s national interests. The experts will study and find out to what extent Azerbaijan’s accusations are grounded. Experts are not politicians, they will only give assessment to the state of monuments,” the Secretary General said.
In reply to the question whether the CoE experts will be sent to Azerbaijan to assess the state of Armenian cultural monuments, Terry Devis said, “We shall reach no results if the two countries criticize each other. We shall try to address all shortcomings.”
