Georgia’s opposition organises a large-scale rally near the Parliament. They anticipate at least 100 thousand participants. The united opposition (involving over ten political parties and blocs) demands President Michael Sahakashvili’s resignation. They suggest holding extraordinary elections in April 2008.

The oppositionists state the principles of election conduct should be adjusted to international standards. The opposition also demands to release “political prisoner.”

The initiators guarantee security during the rally. The rally will be titled “Georgia without a President.”
