“HIS SPEECH WILL BE DECISIVE”
Support A1+!“The incidents that took place two days ago, were aimed at frightening potential participants of 26 October gathering”, supposes Nora Hakobyan, head of the “Women's Republican Council”.
“I do not know what decision authorities have made to establish this atmosphere of fear so that people will not participate in the gathering,- she said, explaining,- In my opinion, the participants of the assembly want to express themselves in compliance with the RA Constitution, using their rights”.
Mrs Hakobyan doubted to say how many people would participate in tomorrow’s gathering, but everyone will go to listen to the speech of the First President, “since the viewpoints of other opposition leaders are more or less known”. The leaders of the “Armenian People’s Party” and the “Republican” party will also make speeches tomorrow.
“I want the First President to say his word, to analyze the situation. The nation will make its decision by participating in the gathering without fear. I do not know which candidate will have success, but all I want is the nation to be responsible for its future”, said Mrs Hakobyan.
She is convinced that Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech will be decisive for the nation. According to her, it is more important how the First President will analyze the past, what estimations he will give, what mechanisms he sees to overcome the mistakes of the past and the most important, how the faith should be reinstated in the nation so that “he will not make the same mistakes when he returns”. “I really want free, independent opportunities for all candidates. But the First President has more rights to express his ideas freely, since his experience allows to have more expectations from him”, said Nora Hakobyan.
