“SERGE SARGSYAN DOES NOT HAVE AN ACHILLES HEEL”

Politics

“Even if Marxist David Hakobyan wins during the forthcoming presidential elections, he will have to continue the current political path”, considers Armen Ashotyan, deputy and member of the “Republican Party of Armenia”. According to him, ideological fight may exist on mutually exclusive political paths and a certain political model for external and internal policy was drawn for our country after 1991. Thus, according to him each candidate is talking about his steps and not about a new ideology.

The deputy mentioned the names of three main parties during the presidential elections: “The “Armenian Revolutionary Party – Dashnaktsutyun” is the bearer of socialist mechanisms, the “All-Armenian Movement” is a liberal party and the “Republican Party of Armenia” is a conservative party. The program of certain individuals should be prioritized during the presidential elections and not separate individuals or their separate programs”.

Serge Sargsyan is the invulnerable candidate in the ideological fight of the individuals, whereas the times of “the “Armenian Revolutionary Party – Dashnaktsutyun” and the “All-Armenian Movement” are close to expiration”.

Answering to the question whether the possible alliance of the “Armenian Revolutionary Party – Dashnaktsutyun” and the “All-Armenian Movement” may have negative impact of the position of the “Republican Party of Armenia”, Armen Ashotyan pointed: “It is natural that the first president has made equivocal political decisions and chosen ambiguous path to make agreements with those whom he treated dishonestly once. In my opinion, Levon Ter-Petrosyan should have to leave for Karabakh now”.

Armen Ashotyan mentioned that the “Republican Party of Armenia” was for a fair path in case a pre-election fight started against the party. “The “Republican Party of Armenia” is not afraid of anything since it doesn’t have an Achilles Heel, neither does our candidate”, said Armen Ashotyan.
