KOCHARYAN WILL ALSO SPEAK

Politics

“If the first president runs for presidency, then he will become an ordinary opposition body with the results coming out of it”, said Robert Kocharyan reflecting on Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech on 21 September and being nominated during the presidential elections in 2008. Robert Kocharyan said that he had refrained from criticizing the first president during the last 10 years.

“I haven’t said anything about the first president during the last ten years. I consider that the first president should be like a mystic regarding the foundation of the first Republic, and the first president himself should feel the responsibility of those mysterious moments. If he enters the political field fighting for his candidature, he will be treated as an ordinary opposition figure, with all the outcomes that will follow it and he will be reminded many things, as to how many streets were lighten in Yerevan in 1996 and so on. They are three, by the way”, said Robert Kocharyan.
