ARTICLE 301 CONTRADICTS CONSTITUTION
Support A1+!Today “Heritage” party MP Zaruhi Postanjian introduced in the Armenian National Assembly a bill to repeal Article 301 of the Penal Code since, in the opinion of many deputies, it violates the right of freedom of speech of an individual.
The draft law holds that Article 301 is in clear violation of Article 27 of the Armenian Constitution and Article 10 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
It is worthwhile, mentioning that Zhirayr Sefilyan and Vardan Malkhasyan are accused under that Article.
