GHUKASYAN RECEIVED AZERI
Support A1+!Arkadi Ghukasyan received a delegation of Armenian and Azerbaijani academics headed by Armen Smbatyan Ambassador of Armenia to Russian Federation and Azerbaijani Ambassador Minister Polad Byul-Byul Oglu. With the participation of Artsakh intellectuals, the participants of the meeting reflected on the dialogue between the conflicting parties and on the necessity of reinforcing mutual confidence.
Arkadi Ghukasyan highlighted the initiative of the Ambassadors, noting that it could form healthy and constructive atmosphere on the peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict.
The President confirmed that warlike appeals and intolerance impede the resolution of the problem. The participants expressed hope that the dialogue between the conflicting parties’ intellectuals would continue in the future attracting broader circles.
Arkadi Ghukasyan also received Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office in the region.
The parties discussed prospective relations between Kharabakh and Azerbaijani intellectuals and other social circles, as well as issues related to the maintenance of dialogue between the parties with the support of the OSCE mediators’ mission.
The RA President Robert Kocharyan met the delegation of Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectuals in Yerevan.
