U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT DENIGRATED BRYZA

Politics

The amended human rights report on the Karabakh conflict presented by the U.S. State Department denigrated Mettew Bryza, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the State Department and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair, Tigran Torosyan, the RoA NA Speaker said today.

Reminder; the Americans changed the report allegedly on the demand of the Armenian side and Mettew Bryza stated that there would be no changes in the report. However, two days later the report underwent another change, and the very first statement was restored, which is undesirable for Armenia.

On May 2 Tigran Torosyan stated that Mettew Bryza's denigration is the most striking fact. “I am sure there is no need to give a more serious evaluation to these changes, considering the unserious attitude of the State Department towards the report. Changes to the report on every other day, especially after the statements of the State Department representative are but unserious attitude,” says Tigran Torosyan.

According to him, this action also defames the Co-chairs' statements that they are close to agreement on the main principles of the conflict resolution. “I am sure that that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh will not be determined by such reports and non serious attitude,” Tigran Torosyan says.
