TURKISH FLAG BURNT IN JAVAKHK
Support A1+!Today, Armenians living in Javakhk visited the memorial at the churchyard of “Surb Khach” in Akhalkalak to honor the 1.5 mln. victims of the bloody yoke on April 24, 1915.
Members to “Javakhk Scout Movements” holding the Armenian flag sang the scout anthem. After passing over the Turkish flag, they burnt it. Later they stayed and served as guards of honor in front of the memorial.
Though in a doubt, the delegation of local officials followed the scouts and passed over the Turkish flag.
A holy liturgy was served in “Surb Khach” in memory of the Genocide victims.
