PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE TO COMBAT AGAINST ELECTION FRAUDS

Under the decree of RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, special workings groups have been set up to watch the May 12 parliamentary elections and to make protocols on the election frauds.

This is the first time the Prosecutor's Office has come up with such an initiative. After the previous elections Aghvan Hovsepyan called on the public to apply to the prosecutor's office if they came across election stuffing and flaws.

The Prosecutor General urged the corresponding bodies of RA regions, Yerevan and communities to consider the breaches within short period and to involve skillful prosecutors, experts in the discussion of disputable issues.

To note, Gurgen Ambaryan, the head of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office and Sona Truzyan, the Spokesperson of the RA Office of Prosecutor General, were assigned to study the materials on election frauds in the mass media and report on them in due time.

The working groups must inform the Office of Prosecutor General on the discovered breaches each Tuesday by 11:00 a.m.
