WHOSE CONFIDENCE ENJOYS SERGE SARGSYAN?

The Republican Party of Armenia has decided to put forward the candidacy of Serge Sargsyan, deputy chairman of the party and chairman of the party's board, for the vacant post of the RA Prime Minister.

Ruben Torosyan, Chairman of the Supreme Council Deputies Club, claims the decision contravene the RA acting constitutional; the decision is anti-constitutional and breaches the right of RA certain citizens to participate in the state government.

Under Article 55 of the RA acting Constitution after making consultations with NA deputies and factions, the President of Armenia appoints the candidate enjoying the confidence of most candidates.

“The violations of the RA Constitution have acquired traditional character; they are becoming common in Armenia. RA President doesn't see to the protection of the RA Constitution,” Ruben Torosyan concludes.
