On April 2, at 22:20 p.m. Vardan Ghukasyan' car was attacked on Ashtarak-Gyumri highway.

Due to the gun shootings, out of 5 passengers Artyom Adamyan (b.1985), Sisak Vardanyan(b. 1981) and Hovhannes Mirzabekyan ( b.1970) were sent to hospital.

Vardan Ghukasyan together with the vice-mayor with gun wounds were sent to «St Gregory the Illuminator» hospital, whereas the driver Varazdat Ghukasyan was sent to «Armenia» clinics where the latter was operated on.

Due to the accident, a sue is taken against the case according to a number of clauses of RA Penal Code.

An investigation-operative group is formed involving several experienced workers of RA Prosecutor's Office, RA Security Service as well as those of RA Police Station.

77 bullets were found in the accident zone. The dissection revealed 14 bullets which proved the fact that there were two guns shooting:

All the possible attempts are taken to reveal the crime.
