ARMY WILL NOT SUFFER GREAT LOSSES AFTER THE DISMISSAL OF 2-3 GENERALS

Politics

“The dismissal of 2-3 generals is not a great loss for the RA armed forces. I have normal attitude to this phenomenon. The discharged deputy minister and commander of the corps are our friends. Perhaps they found it wiser to be engaged in politics.

The fighting ability of the troops won’t decrease after their discharge as the bases of the RA army are rather firm. Our army will progress, no matter who abandons or joins it”, Michael Haroutyunyan, head of the general headquarters of the Armenian armed forces, briefed the journalists today. Then he advised all the servicemen wanting to be engaged in politics to quit the army as “army shouldn’t mingle with politics”.

In Mr. Haroutyunyan’s words, the RA army mustn’t participate in the political intrigues of the upcoming elections, and none of the RA servicemen will be forced to vote for this or that candidate. “It is upon the servicemen to decide in favor of which candidate to vote. Compulsion is excluded”, assures Michael Haroutyunyan.
