PRESIDENT OF THE CEC DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO THE WHOLE NIGHT

Politics

“The results of the 2007 elections will be drawn by the computer. If they blame me ‘drawing’, I tell them ‘let’s draw’ together”, said President of the Central Electoral Committee Garegin Azaryan in answer to accusations in his address. He announced that the CEC never calculates the results of the elections: they simply add together the data from different polling stations.

«According to the amendments to the Electoral Code in 2005, the CEC will add together the results of about 2000 polling stations. The journalists will be pleasantly surprised by the screens locates in the Committee. I treat the accusations in my address with humor. If the opposition blames me for forgery, why do they turn to me? »

«A1+» tried to find out if the fact that Robert Kocharyan 'draws' the NA beforehand will influence the work of the CEC or not. «The President has the right to express his opinion about the future NA. I invite you to spend the election day at the Committee. Let us 'draw' together. The network will send the data to our computers, and we shall see them together. I just don't know what we will do the whole night», Mr. Azaryan said.
