OSKANIAN DOESN'T WANT TO RETIRE

“I am not tired yet. I don't want to leave politics either”, Vartan Oskanian, RA Foreign Minister, announced during his meeting with the journalists in answer to the reaction of certain media on his announcement. The point is that RA Foreign Minister said that there is no point in holding the same post more than ten years.

“Whenever a new president comes to office, he wishes to have a new foreign minister. It is quite natural, I think”, said Mr. Oskanian.

But Mr. Oskanian is not tired of politics and doesn't want to abandon it. Moreover, he has still much work to do. “I shall try to stay in politics and have my share. I think time will put everything in their places” added Vartan Oskanian.

Mr. Oskanian is uncertain which party he will join; so far he hasn't turned to any party, and no party has offered him alliance. “I haven't concentrated in this respect yet. I cannot say anything definitely, I need time. Let’s wait for the holidays, then I shall decide what to do to remain active in the political sphere”, promised Vartan Oskanian.

Asked the question whether Zhirayr Sefilyan's arrest will not have its negative impact on Armenia – Diaspora relations, Mr. Oskanian said briefly, “I wish it wouldn't.”
