He was arrested as a most dangerous criminal. The masked policemen took Sefilyan to the central office of the fund 'Arax-Kur' and carried out a search confiscating computers and other things», announced member of «Armenian Volunteers Union» Samvel Haroutyunyan during the discussion organized by the anti-criminal movement in connection with the arrest of Zhirayr Sefilyan.
During the same night the houses of 40 members of the union were searched. He workers of the National Security Service manifested unprecedented cynicism while searching the house of Vardan Malkhasyan, the head of the Aragatsotn regional structure. They arrested Malkhasyan at the presence of the two-year-old child and the sick wife.
«This reminds us of the year 1937. The authorities do whatever they want. Today the Alfa of the NSC can stop my car in the street every moment and search it», said leader of «New Times» party Aram Karapetyan.
