ANOTHER “CONSTRUCTIVE” MEETING OF THE PRESIDENTS

Referring to the Minsk meeting of Robert Kocharyan and Ilham Aliev which took place yesterday, the Azeri President announced that “the negotiations have reached the final phase”.

«There have been different phases in the negotiations, but I can say that we are reaching the final phase», announced the President of Azerbaijan. He mentioned that «during the last three years the Foreign Ministers and the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan have discussed all the issues within the framework of the Prague process».

Calling the negotiations «constructive», the President of Azerbaijan mentioned that the position of Azerbaijan has not been changed. Azerbaijan claims that the conflict must be settled proceeding from the principle of territorial integrity, the Armenian forces must leave the liberated areas and about one million Azeri refugees must return to their houses.
