“ORINATS YERKIR” IS BECOMING A MINORITY IN THE NA

“As the secretary of the party and a deputy I think that Arthur Baghdasaryan must resign and we must quit the Coalition,” claims secretary of the party “Orinats Yerkir” Heghine Bisharyan and assures that her opinion is supported by many party members and “in her opinion by Arthur Baghdasaryan.”

According to rumours, two other businessmen deputies will quit the party by the end of the day and the party council will convene a session to decide its further steps. But Mrs. Bisharyan said nothing of the coming session. As for the deputies who left the party at present their number has reached to 9.

”We were more moral. We could expel them but we merely said let them quit with an application,” mentioned Heghine Bisharyan and added “they should have been gentlemen.”

According to the secretary of the party, their leave was dictated by the centre and a pressure was exerted. She didn’t say what she meant by saying “centre”, she only noted that the current situation is determined by the fact that business has mingled with politics in Armenia. “Today business cannot be independent.”

Heghine Bisharyan seized the opportunity and said that their party has more than 60 thousand members and they don’t deem “the fact that 10 people quitted the party” a serious problem. She assures definitely that after the current situation on the party discord the party will have a larger electoral.

As for the further steps of the deputies who left “Orinats Yerkir,” the secretary didn’t go into details, she only made a remark that the choice of this or that political force will testify to their taste. “There are such parties in Armenia today the leaders of which cannot make their audience understand at least one their sentence.”

Heghine Bisharyan focused on their party’s position and advised to visit regions and find out whether there have been any changes in the recent 10 - 15 years. While speaking of “certain political forces” she urged “they’d better resign.”

She also claimed that the party “Orinats Yerkir” will continue its work in the NA. Samvel Balasanyan will remain the leader of the fraction and they will work despite their number.

In the end of her speech Heghine Bisharyan advised to follow the coming elections attentively as many political parties “without political bases and ideology” will participate in them.
