OSKANYAN “IS INSTIGATING A WAR”

Politics

The RA Foreign ex Minister Alexander Arzumanyan commented on Vardan Oskanyan’s announcement made yesterday in which the latter mentioned that “in case Aderbaijan launches a war Armenia will recognize the independence of Karabakh and it will be accepted on the international level”.

According to Alexander Arzumanyan, Vardan Oskanyan instigates a war which is inadmissible as 3.5 million people listen to his words. Alexander Arzumanyan claims that such announcements made by a state official are improper and aggressive.

He also commented on the current Minister’s recent announcement in which he expressed his readiness to delay the Kharabakh conflict issue for the future and to deal with the problem of refugee return and negotiations on the liberated territories.

“This is said by people who came into power with the motto of free Karabakh and deemed the conflict issue the vital one. That is to say they were inclined to return to the phase version. And Vahan Hovhannesyan names it “not a phase” but a “packet” one.”

There are not such conflicts in the world which can be solved by packets. Azerbaijan claims to launch a war and you claim to recognize the independence of Karabakh. Do whatever you say; who prevents you?” inquired Alexander Arzumanyan.

Today Alexander Arzumanyan was invited to the club “Mirror” to have debates with the NA vice-chairman Tigran Torosyan. The latter has never been an oppositional representative and today approved of all positive self-assessments of the former authority representative. He only disagreed when Arzumanyan criticized the policy of the present authorities. As for the Karabakh issue in his opinion there hasn’t been any regress within the 8 years of Kocharyan’s office.

“The two political figures disagreed with the foreign partners’ optimistic announcements that the year has been favorable for the conflict settlement.

“Those optimistic ideas were inspired by the international organizations on the bases of closed negotiations,” complained the NA republican vice-chairman. He even maintained that the conflict settlement is improbable in the conditions of mutual hostility and hatred.
