“KARABAKH IS A REGION OF ARMENIA”
Support A1+!“Joining Armenia is the only option higher than today’s status of Karabakh”, head of the Republican Party fraction Galoust Sahakyan says about the settlement of the conflict. According to him, it is natural for all of us that Karabakh must either be independent or form part of Armenia.
He considers that the announcements of Azerbaijan are for the inner population of the country, but a the same time he does not expect that one day we will wake up and hear Azerbaijan recognize the independence of Karabakh. Commenting on the announcement of the NKR President Arkadi Ghoukasyan that Armenia must withdraw from the negotiations for Karabakh to be able to participate in them, Mr. Sahakyan mentioned, “It sounds like a diplomatic note”.
According to him, this announcement of President Ghoukasyan refers not to the disagreement of Armenia and Karabakh, but to the international community. Galoust Sahakyan is convinced that in our system of values “Karabakh is almost a region of Armenia”.
