COALITION BOYCOTTING PARLIAMENT WORK

Politics

Today the NA sitting did not take place over the absence of quorum – only 12 deputies have registered by 12.00.

RA NA Chairman Artur Baghdassaryan told journalists that he is concerned over the attendance of the deputies. “All the deputies are obliged to take part in the sittings and perform their duty,” he said adding however that events were today organized in the Shirak and Lori regions of Armenia and many deputies went there to take part in them. The NA Chairman expressed assurance that tomorrow the deputies will be present in the parliament. He excluded any possibility of political implication. “What implication are speaking about if we decided to put to voting over 30 bills,” he noted.

Justive faction secretary Victor Dallakyan thinks that majority of the NA deputies are not able to perform their duty. “I suppose some coalition forces are discontent with the NA Chairman and thus there is an attempt to compromise Baghdassaryan since according to the Constitution and NA regulations he is the person to secure normal activity of the parliament,” he said

For his turn Artur Baghdassaryan called upon the deputies to come to parliament and proceed to fulfillment of obligations.
