FACING DEATH FOR THE SAKE OF INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION?
Support A1+!Today the NA was to discuss the issue of prolonging the contract of sending the Armenia soldiers to Iraq in a closed session. But because of the absence of quorum the session was open.
Defense Minister Serge Sargsyan made speech and said that the decision of sending a group to Iraq has justified itself and raised the international reputation of Armenia. According to him, it is a good lesson and a field where the armed forces of any country can show their abilities. According to the Minister, the Iraqi people have received our officers with gratitude and even awarded one of them.
The Minister assured that the sending of Armenian soldiers to Iraq will secure the participation of Armenia in the processes of securing safety in the international structures.
After the Minister’s speech only deputy of the Justice fraction Arshak Sadoyan spoke approving of the Minister’s point of view.
The issue will be voted tomorrow.
