LITERATE ATTACK OF THE PARLIAMENTARY OPPOSITION
Support A1+!Today the Parliamentary opposition organized an «attack» on the NA President Arthur Baghdasaryan: after representing the agenda of the NA 6th sitting the NA speaker appeared in an unusually absurd situation.
Almost all the deputies of the Justice bloc and the independent deputy Hmayak Hovhannisyan, welcoming the opinion of Arthur Baghdasaryan about the referendum expressed in the press, demanded to create an ad-hoc committee investigating the results of the referendum, especially when the RA President is convinced that it has been held with fabrications.
Arthur Baghdasaryan became uneasy and informed that the organization of an ad-hoc committee is the right of the deputies, but he does not find it necessary, as the fabrications of the referendum must be looked upon in the judicial, not political field. And he is going to apply to the RA Prosecutor's office representing the facts of fabrication known to him.
«If you have facts and do not want to go to the Prosecutor's office, give them to me, I will take care of it», the NA President told the deputies. In answer to this Hmayak Hovhannisyan noted that the referendum and the elections are political events and not a criminal category in which the Prosecutor's office is concerned.
Arthur Baghdasaryan said that political evaluations have been given by the political powers, and now it is the turn of the judicial evaluations, and the results of the work of the NA ad-hoc committee cannot create judicial consequences. «The Justice bloc and the National Unity demand to create a committee, and if the deputies of the Orinats Yerkir join the initiative and give their signatures, the 44 signatures will make it possible to discuss the issue in a special session», secretary of the Justice bloc Viktor Dallakyan said.
Trying to save the situation the NA President reminded the evaluations of the international structures about the referendum. Flattering the speaker, Hmayak Hovhannisyan informed that the opinion of the NA President is more important for him than that of the European structures.
Baghdasaryan tried to re-formulate his answer, «It is obvious that the referendum has been realized, but it is also obvious that there have been violations». Hmayak Hovhannisyan noted that the NA President contradicts himself.
Vahan Hovhannisyan who presided over the sitting tried to relax the situation joking from time to time. “I don’t think it is time to joke, our statehood has been seriously violated”, member of the Justice bloc Tatoul Manaseryan said.
Hmayak Hovhannisyan informed that he creation of the committee in necessary as the opposition does not want to participate in the discussion of those legislative reforms which proceed from the constitutional amendments.
Making a concluding speech on behalf of the Justice bloc, secretary Viktor Dallakyan informed that the opposition offers the coalition the constitutional way to solve the problem, and the coalition does not accept it. “It is the only way we accept”, Viktor Dallakyan concluded.
