PRIME MINISTER READY TO ELIMINATE THE OBSTACLES AGAINST RUSSIA

The RA and RF Prime Ministers rendered a joint press conference today. At the beginning of it Andranik Margaryan spoke about the Armenian-Russian friendship and noting that the Russian days in Armenia were celebrated solemnly he voiced hope that the Armenian days in Russia will be celebrated at the same high level. He also noted that the authorities of both countries spare no effort to raise the level of economic relations.

Mikhail Fradkov informs that today many complicated issues have been discussed. Among them were costs of gas and the fate of the Armenian companies given to Russia to cover the debts. One of the journalists asked if it was convenient to take companies which will not operate. Fradkov answered that although several plans have been postponed, but we need not jump into conclusions.

RA PM Andranik Margaryan promised that if it turns out that there are obstacles hindering Russia to exploit the companies, they will be eliminated immediately.

He voiced hope that 2006 will record substantial progress. The Prime Ministers noted that the development of economically efficient transport communication can contribute to the further enhancing of commercial-economic cooperation between Armenia and Russia.

According to Mikhail Fradkov, the organization of the year of Russia in Armenia has given a new quality o the relations of countries. He also added that Moscow looks forward to the year of Armenia in Russia in 2006.
