Support A1+!Before the start of the opposition meeting near the Matenadaran the participants of the meeting told about the violations during the November 27 referendum in their communities.
They told that in Ararat only 1% of the people have participated in the referendum, and there are blocks of flats the residents of which did not participate in the voting at all. One of those present said that he ahs come here to get information as he does not get unbiased information from any TV Company.
The meeting was started by Academician Rafael Ghazaryan who voiced confidence that the past referendum will be remembered with contempt in the history. Felix Khachatryan noted, «If the President of the CEC were not Garegin Azaryan but his colleague from Azerbaijan, maybe the referendum would be freer and fairer». All in all according to him about 1 million votes were forged.
Levon Eghiazaryan from the Republican Party announced that 10 activists of the party were to start a hunger strike near the monument to Mashtots demanding the resign of Kocharyan, but by the request of Aram Sargsyan and the other leaders of opposition they postponed the strike till next Friday. By the way, the next meeting of the opposition will take place next Friday on December 9 at 04:00 p.m. near the Matenadaran.
Head of the Republican Party Aram Sargsyan announced that a meeting will take place in the Cinema House where new structures will be formed to coordinate their acts.
According to the oppositional bodies, the next meeting will be decisive.
