REC CONFIRMED THE RESULTS
Support A1+!Today the Referendum Central Committee announced the preliminary results of the Constitutional Referendum and ratified it in protocol. According to the information, in 1966 polling stations opened in the Republic of Armenia and 28 other countries 1 million 513 thousand 541 of the registered 2 million 317 thousand 351 citizens participated in the referendum.
93.3% of the participants has said “Yes” to the amendments, and 5.4% has said “No” to them.
After the announcement of the numbers the head of the REC Garegin Azaryan asked the 8 members of the Committee participating in the session to sign the protocol. 7 of them signed, but the representative of the Justice bloc Felix Khachatryan refused to sign explaining that “the whole process of Constitutional reforms has been carried out with violations of law”.
