BRITISH TEMPTED WITH ARMENIAN ORE
Support A1+!An event targeted at activating the mining field of Armenia was held in London yesterday.
“To date the mining field differs greatly from what was ten years ago,” Minister of trade and economic development Karen Chshmarityan stated. He also noted that the government is currently focused at creating favorable conditions for investments and. Over 150 mining and engineering leading companies and representatives of investments groups and financial institutions attended the exhibition and seminar dedicated to the business possibilities of the field.
The Syunik region of Armenia was presented in maximally positive way and the even participants could familiarize themselves with the social and economic development of the region.
Last year a similar action was initiated by the OSCE Yerevan Office with a purpose to support the government in copper and molybdenum mining as well as privatization of Zangezur plant which employs some 5000 people and provides almost 90% of the Syunik production.
