«YES» AGITATION FAILED
Support A1+!Today the Armenian Revolutionary Federation organized a discussion in the Parliament titled “Constitutional Amendments: National Accord”. The expectations were positive, but almost all the NGOs and representatives of the intelligence and cultural councils who were present at the discussion referred negatively to the amendments. This was a surprise for the organizers as the majority of those who criticized the draft today had signed under the announcements agitating «Yes» only a few days ago.
Head of the association «For the Sake of Stable Development» Karine Danielyan speaking of the shortcomings of the draft on the whole referred to the 10th article about ecology and informed that different offers by her and other ecological organizations have not been adopted, and the Ministry of Ecology has not participated in the processing of the article.
Head of the party «Honorable Future» Armen Darbinyan noted that the most important thing – agreement is missing, and as long as it is missing in the Parliament among the political powers, it cannot be present in the society. He also disagreed with the claims that after the reforms are carried out our life will be changed, «It is like the thoughts of a confirmed smoker who promises himself every evening that he will quit smoking the nest morning».
Armen Darbinyan also said that today's Parliament does not reflect the quality of the population as the latter is much better. Vahan Hovhannisyan disagreed with this thought and said that unfortunately the Parliament is the reflection of the population: we choose what we are.
One of the participants of the discussion concluded, «If we have a «No» on November 28, there will be no Armageddon, neither will the «Yes» mean manna from heaven. We shall have what we deserve».
