ONE STEP FROM “NO” TO BOYCOTT
Support A1+!Why did the opposition change its strategy and calls on people to boycott the referendum instead of saying “No” to the Constitution? Today the fact of changing the strategy was being actively discussed especially by the representatives of the coalition in the NA.
Head of the ARF fraction Levon Mkrtchyan is convinced that the opposition has realized that is it difficult to have any success with their “No”. As for why the variant of boycott was chosen, Levon Mkrtchyan has his own opinion. According to it, there are a number of people in the society who are totally indifferent towards elections and referendums and does not participate in them. And if the opposition boycotts the referendum, they will also be attributed the support of the passive part of the society.
According to the head of the Republican Party fraction Galoust Sahakyan, after the opposition reconsidered their policy, he thinks they have realized that their power reserves are not enough for the “No” agitation.
Mentioning the fact that his predictions usually prove to be true, Galoust Sahakyan announced that the results of the Constitutional referendum will be as follows: 80% “Yes” and 20% “No”. The representatives of the other fractions preferred not to predict any thing as according to them predicting is a thankless job.
The opposition continued to announce that all the TV Companies of the country violate the 11th article of the RA Law on Television and Radio now providing equal conditions for «Yes» and «No» agitation. As an example, deputy Grigor Haroutyunyan mentioned, «When «H2» holds a debate between Tigran Torosyan and Vahan Hovhannisyan, can you explain to me who the opposition is here? »
