MANUK GASPARYAN’S COMPLEMENTARY POLICY
Support A1+!Despite the fact that independents deputy Manuk Gasparyan is going to say “no” to the draft constitutional amendments he does not take part in the process of “no” agitation, since he does not wish to collaborate with some opposition figures.
He explains that some oppositionists in 2003 supported Robert Kocharian’s election campaign and even were his advisors. The founder of the Democratic Forces does not fear of “offence” of his colleagues and makes his forecast on the events that will follow the referendum. “It’s not a serious argument for people to say “down with the authorities”. Maximum 10 000 people can gather in the square. I think some 3-4 thousand will gather and I would not like to see them beaten at Baghramyan Avenue.
To note, Manuk Gasparyan said that ordinary citizens are ready to live at the incumbent 2 more years but with a condition that someone will reward them for the hardships they suffered.
“YES” AND “NO” DID NOT COLLIDE
Today leader of the Republican Party of Armenia Galust Sahakyan and deputy Manuk Gasparyan were the guests to Pakagits club. However the debate did not take place. Manuk Gasparyan noted he was deprived of the possibility to say “yes”.
For him the constitutional amendments are admissible with an exception of two provisions: the immunity of the President and indirect election of the Mayor of Yerevan.
Galust Sahakyan is discontent with some nuances of agitation. “We think the society should be acquainted with the reviewed constitution,” he said. Both guests agreed that boycott of the referendum would not be the best way-out.
