STRIKE IN ARMENTEL PREGNANT WITH JURIDICAL CONSEQUENCES
Support A1+!Today at 10.00- 12.00 local time some 50 employees of ArmenTel Armenian-Greek Joint Venture declared a strike and spent two hours in front of the administrative building of the company presenting their demands.
According to PR department head Hasmik Chutilyan the demands the employees of 4 IT departments do not meet the accepted strike demands. “Their claims do not bear social character but refer to Armenian-Greek relationships. It’s an illegal strike that conflicts with the Labor Code and contractual provisions of our company. They have not produced any grounded argument on resignation of George Kuloyanis,” she noted.
Hasmik Chutilyan told A1+ reporter that only 50 out of 6500 employees of the company are on strike and their actions will certainly have juridical consequences, since they not only disorganize the activities of sub-departments but also damages the reputation of the enterprise.
