Support A1+!Russian Accounts Chamber Chairman Sergey Stepashin arrived in Armenia to discuss the process of functioning of the Armenian enterprises given to Russia within the framework of Property for Debt agreement.
The research carried out by the Accounts Chamber gave way to indignation. “Presently these enterprises do not function properly and the matter concerns both parties. Mars plant uses only 1% of its capacity,” Stepashin said. His Armenian counterpart Gagik Voskanyan agreed with that assessment.
Today the two structures discussed the matter for the first time. As result they have reached rather strict decision. The governments of both states will be informed that the decisions taken by the interparliamentary commission has not been implemented till today.
S. Stepashin also confirmed the topics the commission will discuss in future. “There are many fields the Control Chambers can provide impartial and independent information about,” he said.
