«ARMPOST» TO BE FINANCED?

Politics

The November 14-17 4-day NA sitting started today with the secretary of the Justice bloc Viktor Dallakyan announcing that today all the TV Companies of Armenia violate the 11th article of the RA Law on Television and Radio. It refers to the work of the TV Companies in the pre-election period.

According to Viktor Dallakyan, while broadcasting pre-election material before the Constitutional Referendum the TV Companies use more time than allotted for the purpose, and, which is most important, they do not put the «pre-election commercial» mark on the material.

By the way, during the start of the NA plenary session there were several representatives of the opposition in the hall: two deputies from the Justice bloc and 6 from the National Unity.

At the very beginning of the session NA represented the draft amendments to the RA Law on Post Service. During the discussion the main dispute was about the financial management of the «Armpost» company which has been given to the company «Converse-Invest». Deputy and businessman Khachatour Souqiasyan who is also stockholder of the «ArmeEconombank» announced that the decision about the financial governing has been made without announcing any competition; hence there were no equal conditions for all the banks.

Minister of Transport and Communication Andranik Margaryan said that «Armpost» is a state structure and if they are not pleased with its financial management «Converse-Invest» will be deprived of that right.

By the way, in connection with the activity of «Armpost» NA President Arthur Baghdasaryan mentioned about his latest meeting the residents of several villages. Learning that the workers of the post get a salary of 8 thousand drams he had asked why and told by the villagers that if they do not agree to that salary, they will be fired from work.

Today in the NA Arthur Baghdasaryan ordered Andranik Manoukyan to take care of the Laws adopted by NA to be executed. He meant the RA Law on Minimal Salary according to which since 2006 January 1 the minimal salary must be 15 thousand drams.
