CHANGES FOR THE UPPER ECHELON

Politics

Today the Justice bloc with Stepan Demirchyan at the head visited the Aragatsotn region village Voskevaz. Because of the bad weather, as well as the efforts of the village head there were not many people at the meeting, although according to one of the participants of the meeting «there are at least 600-700 people at the meeting every time Demirchyan comes here».

This time the newly founded National Renaissance party also participated in the meeting. Its leader Albert Bazeyan represented the opinion of the party and their ground for «No». Viktor Dallakyan's speech was more political. He referred to the latest meeting of Robert Kocharyan with the students, «If promises are made and not kept, we all know how the people call that person. Kocharyan announced that Vazgen Sargsyan is his brother. How can you account for the fact that he does not visit the grave of his brother for years? ».

Mr. Dallakyan announced that the person ho does not have anything to do with the people blames the people for the «No». By the way, he also announced that we live not in a democratic but in a military country bringing as an example the presence of the policemen at the meeting.

It is noteworthy that the majority of the participants of the meeting will vote against the Constitution not even trying to understand its meaning. Karine Danielyan who had come to the meeting with her children said, “We will say “No” to the Constitution. I am not aware of the changes but even if I read it I will not change my opinion. I work all day long in order to earn my living. Why shall I say yes as my 7-8 year-old daughters work in the field instead of going to school?”

A state worker who naturally did not want to introduce himself said, “The changes offered have nothing to do with the people, they are done for the upper echelon”.

By the way, the musician playing for the oppositional politicians Hamlet Kocharyan had not yet decided how to vote, “I will do what the elderly say”. When we tried to find out what he means by saying “elderly” he commented, “My father, my grandfather”.
