“THOSE SAYING “NO” ARE RESPONSIBLE TOO”

Politics

Today the member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Armen Roustamyan and the NA deputy President Tigran Torosyan had a meeting with the students in the Yerevan State Economic Institute.

For about two hours the two representatives of the coalition represented the advantages of the offered draft Constitution to the students and professors of the Institute. The meeting was more like a lecture, as only 30 minutes were allotted for questions and answers.

Tigran Torosyan persuaded those present that even if they agree with the opposition, they must understand that if the opposition comes to power one day, they will need a good Constitution.

Armen Roustamyan announced that the draft Constitution cannot belong to the coalition only, as the offers of the opposition are taken into account more than those of, for example, ARF. Mr. Roustamyan considers that those saying ”No” to the Constitution are responsible for the future of the country as much as those saying “Yes”, naturally in case of failing the referendum.

It is difficult to say if those who asked questions were pleased with their answers. For example, the third-year student Armen Manaseryan never understood the necessity of stipulating the immunity of the President in the Constitution.

The meeting was held in a full hall, but it is difficult to say that it pleased those present. Many of the professors left the hall even before the meeting was over. One of them did not even wait for his question to be answered. The answer sounded when he had already left the hall.
