Support A1+!Today the discussion of the 2006 budget started in the RA NA. «Armenia is a completely different country as compared to the one 5 years ago, accept it or not», Minister of Finance and Economy Felix Khachatryan expressed his content.
Contrary to the claims that the budget has grown by 16% and the science, education and health fields will be more richly financed next year, deputy Aram G. Sargsyan was interested in why the financing of the Byurakan observatory has been reduced by 7%.
On the whole only 10 of the 131 deputies had questions about the budget. Hmayak Hovhannisyan who stated that «he believes his eyes, not his ears», asked why the issue of returning the deposits is not included in the draft. The Minister of Finance promised to stipulate the issue after the NA discussions.
The budget discussions will continue during the next NA sitting.
