MAYOR REPORTING THE RESULTS OF THE WORK
Support A1+!Today the Yerevan mayor Yervand Zakharyan informed that for the realization of the 2005 social-economic activity program of the city communities 46 billion 5 million AMD has been spent in 9 months instead of the envisaged 44 billion 93 million. Part of the expenses has been covered by the RA state budget, the other by the municipality, and the rest was invested by the communities. There were also other sources of financing.
About 5 billion AMD has been spent on the construction of the North Avenue. Luxury mansions have been built in the Diaconia district.
The reconstruction works of the Kievyan bridge are coming to an end. Those of the Davtashen bridge are still under way.
2 multistoried buildings are being built in Ajapnyak or the people living in dangerous buildings. 10 dangerous buildings are being reconstructed.
In November 50 more buses will be imported into Armenia, and in 2006 – 100 more. Factually, next year we will have 350 buses. According to the mayor, in order to fully solve the transportation problem of the capital 400-450 more buses will be needed. The mayor promises that the municipality will solve the problem in 2-3 years.
