Support A1+!“Our armed forced need reformation and the principles of civic control should be applied. It is the constituent of the process of democratization and I think we can settled the issue with NATO”, RA FM Vartan Oskanian stated today when addressing Rose-Roth NATO PA seminar.
“We realize that it will be hard and great political will is needed, but we should exert every effort to settle this issue”, he said. The RA FM informed that Armenia always paid great attention to security issues. “Our concept of security is not ideological but strategic, not politicized”, he stressed.
When touching upon the Armenian-Russian relations he said, “Our conflict with Azerbaijan in a way told upon our relations with turkey. We would like to break this connection but failed to do it so far.”
According to Vartan Oskanian, Turkey should become a bridge between the Caucasus and NATO, but this country is incapable of meeting this criteria. Turkey has not reached the level, since it does not demonstrate balanced and equal attitude to the three states of the region.”
