KARABAKH’S FATE DECIDED IN WARSAW?
Support A1+!OSCE Minsk group c-chairs representing America, France and Russia – Steven Mann, Bernard Fassier and Yurij Merzlyakov met with foreign minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov. During the meeting that lasted 4 hours the sides discussed preparation for the following meeting of foreign ministers within so-called Prague process as well as results of the Warsaw meeting between Ilham Aliyev and Robert Kocharyan over peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. President Ilham Aliyev also received the co-chairs.
This information was spread by the Azeri TV company “ANS”. And according to the radio company “Azatutyun”, in the press conference held after the meeting the OSCE co-heads, in particular the French co-head has told the journalists that the Presidents have recorded progress in the course of Warsaw negotiations.
Progress has been recorded in two directions – the ousting of the Armenian military forces from the areas surrounding Karabakh, and deciding the further status of Karabakh. Mr. Fassier has told the journalists that he will not tell them any details if the Presidents do not want to. The French co-head has also said that in Warsaw the Presidents have decided the main directions of the further negotiations.
