46.7% of experts and 50.6% of the Armenian citizens are discontent with the process of the Karabakh conflict settlement. The data was announced today by the Armenian Center of National and International Studies during the discussion dedicated to the Karabakh problem.

The outcomes of the survey entitled “Karabakh conflict in the eyes of experts and society” were presented by expert of the Center Stepan Safaryan. 60 experts and 1900 citizens from the capital city and regions took part in the survey.

83.3 % of the experts accuse the RA leadership in failing the negotiation process on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict while 3.3% of them said that the political forces are to blame. 51.5% of the citizens also accuse the leadership and 12.2% of them lay charge to political forces.40% of the experts are convinced that the weak Armenian diplomacy and propaganda impedes the conflict settlement.

Can the problem be settled within the next 5 years? Only 18.3% of the experts and 24.6% of the citizens gave a positive answer.

The resumption or war is possible in the opinion of 20% of the experts and 21% of the citizens.

To note, most of those surveyed adhere to the opinion that Russia plays the major role in the conflict settlement among the super states. As for the final status of Nagorno Karabakh, 6.7% of the experts and 0.7% of the citizens consider that Karabakh will become a part of Azerbaijan again.
