Support A1+!Yesterday during the program «Parliamentary week» Galoust Sahakyan, leader of the Republican Party of Armenia, announced that the schools are being politicized, and even the headmasters of schools are appointed according to their party membership. And although headmasters belonging to the Republican party are not few, Galoust Sahakyan's remark was clearly directed to the Orinats Yerkir, the member of which regulates the educational field.
«The problem is not the post of the headmaster, I simply think that in the educational field, especially at schools, there must be no party profits, as education is a superior field in our national problems. The problem is that the pedagogical staff at schools and the whole school is politicized. The school must live only with the teaching of national values. It is very dangerous when party cells work at schools».
Asked the question if Galoust Sahakyan thought about the problems of which he is speaking now in 20030when they forced the school staff with the pupils to be present at the meetings, Mr. Sahakyan noted, «I think we must not speak with riddles; if there are negative phenomena in the reality they musty be made public. I myself have taken part not in the meetings of Kocharyan but in mine and I have never forced people to take part in any meeting».
Sergo Yeritsyan, answering to the accusations, noted, «The educational institutions are politicized as much as the society. I do not know what Galoust Sahakyan is speaking about, but the activeness comes from the society; the elections of the local governing bodies are near, and we deal with the Armenian society consisting of both teachers and doctors and students. Any kind of activity means social activity».
