THE CIS BODIES WILL BE PERFECTIONIZED
Support A1+!In Minsk the next meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council of CIS countries took place, in which the RA deputy Foreign Minister Grigor Gharibjanyan' s delegation took part.
One of the main issues for discussion was the course of works of improving and perfectionizing the CIS bodies. Approving of the document presented, a decision was made to continue the process.
During the discussion of the draft resolutions «About the cooperation of the CIS countries in a combat against terrorism and other forceful expressions of extremist» and “About the cooperation of the CIS countries in a combat against terrorism and other forceful expressions of extremist in 2005-2007” the Azerbaijani side offered to include into the document the point about “combat against separatism”. Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia joined this point of view.
The head of the Armenian delegation offered to adopt the document according to the variant agreed upon with the experts before, grounding the RA point of view by the fact that “separatism” is not an internationally recognized concept.
The Azerbaijani offer was not accepted by the other countries and was formulated as a retaining by the delegations of the above mentioned 4 countries.
