PRESS CONFERENCE WITH AN AWARD
Support A1+!Today Rouben Torosyan, head of the party Human Rights and Democracy had organized a press conference in the NA office, during which he represented the Mass Media his Party Investigations with the theme “Those standing “higher” are not equal to others against the law”. He brought as an example the realization of the requirements of the 4th part of article 30th of the RA Law on Compulsory Military Service.
According to Torosyan, 11 of the 17 members of the Government have not passed a compulsory military service and thus have been appointed to their posts by violating the law. They are – Andranik Margaryan, Norayr Davidyan, David Haroutyunyan, Vardan Oskanyan, David Loqyan, Armen Haroutyunyan, Sergo Yeritsyan, Hovik Hoveyan, Serge Sargsyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, and Vardan Khachatryan.
And at the end of the press conference Mr. Torosyan offered the following puzzle: «Why doesn't the RA Government carry out the dements of the 4th part of article 30th of the RA Law on Compulsory Military Service, that is – does not confirm the list of the posts which cannot be occupied by people not passed compulsory military service?»
The winner was the journalist from the news agency «Arminfo» who said, «It will be too obvious that they have violated the law».
