CIS TO BECOME STRUCTURE SETTLING THE KARABAKH CONFLICT?
Support A1+!Vladimir Rushaylo, head of the CIS Executive Committee and its executive secretary is pleased with the visit to Armenia. Today he informed the journalists about it in the Press hall of the Ministry of foreign affairs. He was especially thankful to the Armenian colleagues for the high level of organization of the visit and the constructive behavior of Armenia about the discussed issues.
And the issues were about economical integrity, drug trafficking, combat against terrorism, organization of celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war, etc. By the way, before the press conference Rushaylo had met the Armenian veterans. “It was an exciting meeting”, he said.
“Aren’t you afraid that CIS will collapse as a result of the multicolored revolutions”, one of the journalists asked. «I do not want to dramatize the situation, future will show everything, and we are not astrologists. I see no sense in foreseeing, but it is obvious that there are signals which must be answered. I suppose the quality of the observation mission must be changed. We must be more prepared while observing elections, and we must see the procedures which take place in the CIS countries», said the head of the CIS Executive Committee.
According to him, in its further works this structure must take elements from the positive experience of the international structures, but it must be decided by the head of the countries.
By the way, Mr. Rushaylo doesn't exclude the possibility that the CIS executive structure may intervene in the process of the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. «The CIS executive structure does not have clear-cut orders about this problem. But I do not exclude the possibility that certain steps towards the settlement of the conflict are possible within the framework of CIS», said Vladimir Rushaylo, head of the CIS Executive Committee and its executive secretary.
