Levon Aronyan loses the first game of the tie-break
Armenian chess player Levon Aronian lost the first game of the tie-break in the semi-final of the World Chess Cup. Our grossmaster who played with black figures, made a mistake in the middle of the game, and his opponent, maxime Vachier-Lagrave used the mistake for his benefit. The latter organized an attack with his soldiers, thus gaining positional advantage. Levon Aronyan did not manage to resist pressure of the white figures and stopped the clock on the 64th move. Thus, Maxim Vachier-Lagrave after the rapid chess match 1:0 is ahead. Levon Aronyan must definitely win in the second game, in which he will play with white pieces, in order to be in the final.
