If I see Tsarukyan, I shall kneel down before him and beg him to save my son - mother (video)
“My son is at death’s door but no hospital wants to accept him or help him,” says the desperate woman. The family lives in poor conditions in a single room on money given by the “Paros” Charitable Foundation. The Yengibaryans had one misfortune after another. Mrs. Taguhi’s youngest son died in a grenade explosion in their backyard. The wife of her eldest son goes away from the maternity hospital after giving birth to a baby boy. Three years ago, the family learnt that Suren had some kidney disease that prevented his kidneys from functioning properly. “If only I could go to France, I would recover. Everybody says that if you go to France, surrender, they will do the rest,” says Suren Gasparyan. Mrs. Taguhi has turned to all state agencies and private companies, starting from the prime minister to different TV shows. Only “Half-Open Windows,” a scandalous talk show, has offered the family a helping hand, giving them clothes. Mrs. Taguhi tried to catch the NA lawmaker Samvel Aleksanyan outside his personal mansion. He saw her, “He was leaving; he was in the car; I was standing with the documents in my hands. Yesterday I went to Abovyan in order to see Tsarukyan, kneel down before him and beg him to save my son.” This family doesn’t pin hopes on hospitals anymore. All the state bodies sent all the documents to refuse all the requests for aid. “No hospital, no one does anything,” says the woman. Yet, Mrs. Taguhi receives AMD 50 000 salary working as a cleaner, and Suren receives AMD 16 000 disability pension. One of the agencies, which provides pension, called on this boy to work, by saying that he is a young boy. “Don’t they see that he isn’t able to work, he cannot even stand on his feet? Nothing matters,” says Mrs. Taguhi. Suren was told that he needs EUR 3200 for getting to France. But they have nothing to sell. Their only capital is the hope for miracle. The only book in their house is New Testament. Yet, these people haven’t knocked only at church’s door.
