Turkey appeal to UNESCO on Armenia’s claim over lavash
Five countries protested against Armenia’s including lavash in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List with document titled “Lavash in Armenia,” Ermenihaber. am reports. APA reports quoting Turkey’s Vatan newspaper that Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan developed a document on lavash and submitted it to UNESCO. UNESCO will discuss the document titled “Flatbread making and sharing culture” and pass a final decision at the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage that will take place from 28 November to 2 December 2016 in Ethiopia.
