On July 8, Serzh Sargsyan arrived in Warsaw to participate in the meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the NATO member and non-member states related to the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan. Serzh Sargsyan and U.S Secretary of State John Kerry discussed Friday settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during a meeting on the sidelines of NATO summit in Warsaw. At the beginning of the meeting the Armenian President expressed his condolences to the U.S. Secretary of State in connection with the tragedy in Dallas. Serzh Sargsyan highly appreciated the ongoing efforts of the United States, as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, on securing peace and stability in the region. Sargsyan once again thanked Kerry for effective steps to overcome consequences caused by the April aggression provoked by Azerbaijan against Karabakh, as well as for organizing meetings in Vienna and St. Petersburg and the subsequent joint statement. Sargsyan and Kerry also discussed the issues raised in the course of the July 6 telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama. The interlocutors reiterated the importance of the unconditional implementation of the agreements reached in Vienna and St. Petersburg.
