Condemn political repressions: action-live (video)
In Yerevan near Victory Park, at the memorial dedicated to the victims of Soviet repressions an action is being held with the participation of victims and their successors to commemorate the victims of the Soviet repressions and condemn the political repressions. 56 ethnic deportations happened in the USSR; Armenians were subjected to ethnic deportation for four times- in 1937 from Armenia and Azerbaijan, in 1949 June 14 from Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Krasnodar. “Until today we don’t have a law condemning ethnic deportation,” noted organizer of the action, ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan.
