To be together but not to change beliefs: Yes and No leave for marzes (video)
Ahead of the Constitutional reforms referendum ArmNews TV company in conjunction with A1+ is starting a new TV project within the frames of which the representatives of “Yes” and “No” campaigns will tour in Armenia’s marzes presenting the local citizens their position. “We are starting a new TV project which will be broadcast live for 20 days without interruption and even on Saturdays and Sundays. It is called Yes and No. It is a campaign in almost all the settlements of Armenia in two directions- North and South. Eight participants from each camp travel in each direction, four participants from Yes and four participants from No,” presented Director Hrach Keshishyan. The TV project will be broadcast live on A1+ TV company and on ArmNews channel of Ucom. The author of idea is political technologist Karen Kocharyan, who told A1+, “During the recent years I have always had a thought why the political culture, which is accepted in the whole world, hasn’t been established in Armenia. During the recent 20 years everything has fallen beneath the platform- insults, accusations and personal hostility. There are no ideological clashes, explanatory activities with each other and also with the people. It is an opportunity so that the people, who travel together by the same bus, sit at the same table, including the villagers, are in good relations but don’t change their beliefs.” According to the words of Karen Kocharyan they have applied to almost all the representatives of the opposition and the authorities in order to take part in the project. Those, who have agreed, will express their positions during live broadcast. They are: From Yes camp- Karine Achemyan, Margarit Yesayan, Samvel Farmanyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Arthur Yeghiazaryan, Hrayr Tovmasyan, Vardan Ayvazyan, Arman Saghatelyan. From No camp- Petros Makeyan, Vardan Khachatryan, Armen Mkrtchyan, Narek Ayvazyan, Vaghinak Shushanyan, Hrant Bagratyan, Azat Arshakyan, Tamara Gevorgyan. To remind, the Armenian National Congress (the HAK) refused to participate in this project. The project is starting from Agarak. It will end on December 4 in Yerevan, where a joint big debate will take place.
